Okay sooo now that Spring break is over, I will fully fill you all in on what I’ve been up to, as promised. I will post a separate post per city/destination(or as I feel necessary) So here is your warning; these next few posts might be fort of boring for you, and I’m not 100% sure if I remember everything that we did at each place, but I plan to give you the best description that I can remember after being gone for 15 days.
Okay so I will start at the very beginning. =)

We all met at the train station in Angers Saturday morning and full of excitement and bags, we boarded the train to Nantes. I watched two children and their father interact for almost the entire ride and couldn’t help but think that French children are in fact cuter than American ones. The ride was painless and boring, and once in Nantes we made our way to our couchsurfers home. He was a very nice old French man, who gave us keys to his spare apartment/studio; of which we spent the night in.

We dropped off our bags, had a quick chat with Yves (his name) and were off to explore. We first found the giant Man-made elephant and took many pictures of it “walking” around. From there we managed to find our way around town to see the chateau and a French town wouldn’t be complete without seeing its Cathedral. We spent the evening talking and finally getting some sleep before waking up SUPER early for our plane to Marseille.
Side notes:
-the chateau de ducs de Bretagne in Nantes, is where the edict of Nantes was signed. If you know what it is, you will know how cool it was to visit that place. =)
-Nantes is bigger than it first appears.

-Tram systems don’t operate early in the morning, so if you have an early flight, you will have to wake up around 4 a.m. in order to walk to the shuttle (bus) stop that will take you to the airport on time. Le sigh.
-French teens think it is appropriate to lay in the grass in public areas laying on top of their significant other. We witnessed much making out, groping, and even a few daring couples putting hands down pants of eachother…in public?! Seriously!?! Seriously.
